The Lauderhill Police Department is a progressive, community oriented police agency of 118 sworn and 29 civilian personnel serving a culturally rich population of over 65,000 people in South Florida. The City is situated on 8.3 square miles, is bordered by the Cities of Fort Lauderdale, Sunrise, Plantation, Lauderdale Lakes and Tamarac. In addition, the area of Broward Estates recently voted to be annexed into the City, adding another 8,000 residents starting later this year. We will start serving the Broward Estates section of Lauderhill on October 1st, 2006.

The Lauderhill Police Department is a professionally accredited law enforcement organization having been awarded the prestigious distinction of being accredited by the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA) in June of 2005. The Department was formally recognized by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) in July of 2005. The Lauderhill Police Department is truly a professional organization that meets or exceeds the highest professional benchmarks of the law enforcement profession.
